Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Emergency Falls Church, VA, United States Job Identification: 685992 Posting Date: 07/16/2026, 07:50 PM Job Schedule: Part Time Locations: Inova Fairfax Hospital Job Description: The Level 1 Trauma Pediatric Emergency Department at Inova Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Pediatric patients. PRN, As Needed - 12-Hour Shifts (Days Vary). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights). The Inova Children's Emergency Room at Fairfax Hospital is the most comprehensive pediatric ER in the region and provides family-friendly emergency care in a redesigned, spacious facility tailored to our patients. Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association
• Proficient in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others
• Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strongly prefer 2 years plus of Pediatric ED RN experience
• CEN/ACLS certification desired
