Job Description

Pay: $25 to $35 an hour. Shift: Full time. Type: Direct Hire.

Melben is hiring 3 Welders / Fabricators in Columbus, OH for a direct hire role on the employer's payroll. This is a full time position building and repairing metal assemblies from drawings, working alongside experienced fabrication crews in central Ohio.

The work centers on cutting, fitting, tacking and welding fabricated components to print. Fabricators lay out parts from blueprints, verify dimensions, and prepare joints before welding. Expect a mix of shop fabrication and assembly, with accurate fit-up being a daily priority.

Pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. The employer is flexible on the start date, so candidates with a good fit can be considered on a schedule that works for them. Applicants should have at least 2 years of welding and fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Cut, fit, and tack components to specification
• Perform welds to print and inspect finished work
• Measure and verify dimensions throughout fabrication
• Keep the work area clean and materials organized

Requirements

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience
• Blueprint reading skills
• Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
